2011 National Night Out
The 28th Annual National Night Out, a crime and drug prevention event
sponsored by the Boulder City Police Department in conjunction with
the National Association of Town Watch, is scheduled for Tuesday,
August 2nd, 2011 at 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park-Pratte Field. The police
department cordially invites the entire community to be a part of
the evening’s festivities.
A highlight of the evening, based on the experience of the past few years, will once again be the police department vs. fire department softball game. If you haven’t experienced this fine example of talent and prowess, don’t miss it this year. The game generally begins between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Special to this event is a donated Captain American custom electric chopper to be raffled off through donations to Emergency Aid of Boulder City. Receive one raffle ticket for every can of donated food for a chance to win. See the flyer at the left for more information. National Night Out has proven to be an effective and enjoyable way to promote community spirit and police-citizen partnerships in the fight for a safer community. This year’s event is sponsored by the Boulder City PD and the Boulder City Albertsons grocery store. For additional information or questions, please call Detective Jen Ford 589-9613. |
